This unique hand-made doll is a true work of art, crafted and made by MY OWN Grand Aunt with great care and attention to detail. As gift to her little sister at the time (My Grandmother). Doll was given to my grandmother around 1915 when she was 8 years old, by her Older Sister, made in North Carolina, USA.
The doll has a primitive, folk art feel and features a cloth needle face, with black hair made of fabric. The doll stands at 11 inches tall and is made from wood paper stuffing, original primitive pins (still in or installed) and mixed cloth fabrics. This antique doll is a rare find, made in the United States in the early 1900s and has been well-preserved since then. It would make a wonderful addition to any doll collection or a special gift for someone who appreciates beautiful.
