BEAUTIFUL Arthello Beck Original Painting African American Girl Texas Artist

  

We are very pleased to offer a magnificent and very rare painting by very well noted Texas African-American master Arthello Beck, Jr. Beck's pieces are in numerous museum and other notable collections, including those of NBA star Grant Hill. His works also appear in various notable places in his home city of Dallas, where there is a gallery named in his honor.

Original works by Beck are very rarely offered for sale, and we are especially proud to have one of his earlier examples available. This exquisite work is executed with oil on canvas.

The frame appears original to the piece. View is 15 x 29 inches, and, with frame and matting, 21 x 35 inches overall. The canvas is nice and tight and intact.

There is some age-appropriate wear to the frame and matting, as shown. Condition of the painting is overall very good. In the close-ups you will note some very slight (and we do mean slight -- notable only on close view) across the young woman's forehead.

Signed on the lower right and appears to be dated 1975, as Beck was beginning his very successful career. Please do not hesitate to drop us a line if you have any questions.
