Gorgeous German Schildkröt Rheinische Gummi Doll Turtle Marking Tortulon High Color Mid Century 11 Rare. From the late 1940s or 1950s has the turtle mark and the Tortulon marking.

She most likely supposed to be from one the islands as her skirt is very Island like. Tortulon was a hard plastic type material, used in the late 1940s and 1950s, instead of celluloid by Rheinische Gummi. It looked and felt just like it, but it was not combustible. Beautiful girl with a high make up coloring and green glass eyes. She is in very good displayable condition: no splits, cracks, no broken parts, or melting. She does have minor scratches most are surface so may be able to be polished off. Minor shiny marks most dominant side of her face near ear, see close up. One of her fingers has a sharp edge instead of being rounded I do not know if this is a factory flaw from the molding or a chip. Minor dust soil espeically around eyes. I have not cleaned her because of her high coloring I do not want to risk taking off the paint. Her paint is a nice full only minor loss and rubs mostly to hair, few spots to her make up. Few minor nick ding marks mostly on hair. She only comes with a skirt all other clothing pieces what ever they were are missing. Photos are taking in natural light.
