Signed BRUCKNER 1901, two-sided antique cloth reversible TOPSY-TURVY rag doll

  

From an extensive private collection.. Is this adorable, original two-in-one, "topsy-turvy". AMERICANA cloth doll, circa 1901. Stamped on the edge of the dark girl's shoulder with patent date. This is an extremely f ine.

(shown in first 5 photos) of this charming double-doll. They are 12 1/2 tall, all cloth. And shown in the 9th Blue Book, page 108. They have perfectly printed and molded features with printed blond hair on the white child and real, black hair with.

All their originally trimmed, red cotton printed clothing, matching sewn-on printed bonnet & red bandanna. (respectively) as well as their original trimmed, long off-white apron which.

Can be flipped to cover the opposite doll. Both have sweet expressions and movable arms with mitt-type hands and separate thumbs.

Exceptional doll still retains all of her charm. (loc 51) They are in very good (unplayed with) condition with no rips, no fading or repairs. They have no fading, no tears or repairs (slight wear on the back of the red bandanna) and no odors and are from a smoke free home.
